RWT Charity volunteers’ campaign launched

From running a raffle to chatting to businesses or helping at events – volunteers are being given the chance to make a difference to patients through The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust’s Charity.

A host of new and exciting volunteering roles has been made available to help support and promote the Charity’s work. Established in 1996, the RWT Charity has since raised more than £19.6m for life-saving medical equipment and facilities and items above and beyond what the NHS can provide.

The Charity is hoping to attract budding volunteers to help with tasks including:

  • Visiting local schools to spread the word about the Charity’s work and encourage pupils to get involved.
  • Supporting events such as raffles auctions and community days and suggest fundraising ideas.
  • Promoting ongoing appeals and upcoming events.

Lindsey Wagstaff, Community and Events Fundraiser at the RWT Charity said:

“We’re really excited to be able to offer the opportunity for new volunteers to support the Charity and join us on our fundraising mission.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming new helping hands and compassionate hearts. The benefits of being a volunteer include learning new skills, building relationships and helping to make a difference to our communities.

“We ask volunteers to only give as much time as they can. The roles will be ideal for anyone who enjoys talking to people, supporting patients and working with our NHS teams to enhance the experience of everyone who uses our services.”
