RWT Christmas lights switch-on 2023
It’s beginning to look a lot like… The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust’s (RWT) Christmas lights switch-on!
The annual event, which is hosted by the Trust’s RWT Charity is taking place this Thursday 30 November from 11am in the ED Marquee of New Cross Hospital.
The all-day event will start off with a Christmas market where staff, patients and visitors will be able to visit 12 stalls selling a variety of items ideal for Christmas presents.
The lights switch-on will take place at 4.30pm and will be carried out by Gwen Nuttall, RWT Chief Operating Officer and Deputy Chief Executive, Father Christmas and a representative from EH Humphries who kindly donated the tree, lights and manpower.
Following this, The Trust’s staff choir will be serenading the crowd with Christmas carols.
The RWT Charity team consists of Amanda Winwood (Charity Development Manager), Amie Rogers (Fundraising and Lead Digital Engagement Officer), Lindsey Goodall (Community and Events Fundraising Officer) and Elinor Cole (Arts and Heritage Project Co-ordinator).
They said: “We are so excited for our Christmas lights switch-on event.
“After a very busy year, it’s a great time for everyone to come together for the festivities. Whether they’re there to observe the whole event or just coming along for five minutes – we want everyone to feel the Christmas spirit and enjoy themselves.
“We’re really pleased that Gwen, Father Christmas, EH Humphries, our Trust Choir and market stall holders will be joining us and helping to provide a festive atmosphere.
“We look forward to seeing you, it’s going to be tree-mendous!”
